We invite submissions addressing the integration of AI technologies in Industry 5.0, with an emphasis on explainable AI (XAI), retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), federated learning, and other innovative AI techniques that empower human-centric manufacturing.

Suggested topics include, but are not limited to:

Explainable AI (XAI) in Manufacturing:

• Techniques for making AI decisions transparent and interpretable in production environments

• XAI for enhancing trust and collaboration between human operators and AI systems

• Case studies of XAI applications in quality control, predictive maintenance, and real-time decision-making

Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) in Manufacturing Systems:

• Leveraging RAG models for dynamic, context-driven support in manufacturing decision-making

• Use cases of RAG in human-AI interaction, from automated assistance to knowledge retrieval

• Customizing RAG architectures for industrial-specific challenges and tasks

Federated Learning for Distributed Manufacturing Systems:

• Using federated learning to train AI models across decentralized manufacturing sites while preserving data privacy

• Collaborative AI for enhancing productivity and personalization in multi-site production environments

• Optimizing federated learning techniques for manufacturing tasks such as predictive maintenance, quality control, and supply chain management

Visualization and interpretability of temporal data sequences

• Using machine learning and deep learning methods for time-series analysis (e.g., attention mechanisms, saliency maps, sequence embeddings),

• Using visual analytics for model behavior inspection

• Explainability of predictions in industrial time-dependent data such as sensor streams, event logs, and human–machine interaction sequences

Healthcare 5.0 and Smart Care:

• XAI for chronic disease management as a pillar of society-centric Industry 5.0 applications

• Transferring high-trust AI frameworks from medical diagnostics to critical safety-aware manufacturing decision-making

Sustainable and Trustworthy AI Solutions for Industry 5.0
